Help me out with this one please, I'm confused?
I recently switched to a different medical provider and on one of my visits, the nurse assistant and I chatted, she asked if I was single, etc. I told her yes and she said "dr. so & so is too". I didn't think anything about it until my next visit when I saw the doctor (2nd visit) and he was really friendly to me. He touched me a couple times on my elbow and we talked, he then mentioned something I had only brought up to his asst. (my recent trip to Spain) When my appt. ended, he touched me again and said "see you next time". Does that mean anything or am I reading too much into things?

You're reading too much into it. This is just the doctor's "manner" with patients. I bet he treats his next patient, Granny Grump, the same way. Don't be silly!

That does sound kind of creepy... he could be just being friendly to a patient, but it's weird that the doctor and nurse had a conversation about your specific personal details. If you're into the doc, then just see how things play out. If you're not, then you could change medical providers again if this guy makes you uncomfortable.

d;octor has no right to be doing that to you; find a new doctor quick and if you felt uncomfortable report it the are in a possition of trust and if you cant rely on your doctor ?????????

good morning to all citizens of TRINIDAD and TOBAGO! the children that were found on the PORT is not a HOAX! i'm a nurse i work in both MOUNT HOPE and PORT OF SPAIN GENERAL HOSPITAL, and i dealt with the children yesterday and this morning..... the children's heads are cleanly shaven and they have bruises and scares all over their bodies! and the GOVERNMENT and POLICE SERVICES is letting CIVILIAN people bring them in because they do not want the PUBLIC to know the truth. they do not want it to reach out the UNITED STATES of AMERICA because of the SUMMIT that we are hosting in APRIL...and it will look VERY VERY VERY BAD on our behalf... WONT IT!!!!!!!!!!! so PLEASE keep a hold on your children and be very careful because our sweet sweet T&T is FOLLOWING everything that we see on television an everything that AMERICA is DOING!!!!!!!!! so its not a hoax! PLEASE FORWARD this to everyone that you know for the sake of keeping our children SAFE and the government uncovered....

I got this email more than once and honestly, I do not know what to think. The entire situation is a bit confusing and whilst the government has been known to make very ridiculous decisions in the past I would like to think that they would not stoop this low. One thing about this email has me quite suspicious though: if a nurse supposedly wrote this email message then why is it choc full of spelling and grammatical errors? Certainly someone with such a job would have better language skills? But the message is very clear: we should all try to look out for the children because there are a lot of predators out there who would try to rob them of their innocence...or their lives.

This is too traumatic for people to be joking about. Can you please indicate if your source is reliable? Petra makes a good point about the way the letter was written. Why have they not gone to the media with this information? The media will jump on it especially since they are getting so much heat from the Telecommunications Authority.

i been hearing this since it happened an i was outraged at the fact that it was in fact true, but with further thinking, and exactly what jus jaz^^^ said, it really makes u think about how much this person, this "nurse" really cares, so just say that it is entirely true, she is just as much to blame as everyone else covering up the situation... an e-mail is just not gonna cut it....

PLZ PZL PZL READ ITS KINDA LONG BUT PLZ Lily was walking down the street on day and she saw a little boy playing on the street. The boy looked like he was 3 or 4 years old. Lily wondered where his parents were and why was a little baby outside alone in the street. She looked at the boy and he was happily playing with a basketball. But all of a sudden everything changed because Lily saw a huge truck going straight down the street and honking, Lily thought that the truck would stop, she ran to the middle of the road, in front of the boy and showed a stop sign with her hand but the truck didn’t seem to start stopping. So Lily grabbed the child and covered the head and the neck with her hand to protect him a little bit. She looked both ways but on one side there was a tall fence right by the road and on the other side there were cars passing really fast. She couldn’t do anything because the fence was too tall and too close to the truck and that would hurt them even more she thought. So all of sudden Lily just turn away from the truck and tell the boy to hide and not look back. They were both scared. But then all of a sudden Lily feels a huge push on her back and falls. It felt like 50 knives going behind her and stabbing her in the back. That’s all Lily felt. Then Lily woke up and felt a little bit sick, her back didn’t hurt but it burned so bad. Then she opened her eyes and saw the police, paramedics, and firefighters. She got frightened and suddenly tried to get up, but the paramedic said “Don’t get up, you’ll be alright.†Lily was scared she was tons of people looking at her and some were even crying. Then she saw something red on herself, she realized, its blood. She got even more frightened, because she did not know what had happened to her, but it all came back when she saw 4 paramedics taking the little boy to the hospital. Then Lily remembered what had happened. The paramedics took Lily to the hospital and Lily got an x-ray taken, and then she started to fell vey sleepy. She knew that she would have to go to surgery. Six minutes later Lily was sleeping and the doctors were taking her to the surgery room. But before the surgery Lily heard the doctor saying that she had 2 broken ribs and a lot of damage to her back. She also broke her arm. After the surgery she woke up in a room, and felt really bad, her back didn’t burn anymore it hurt. She felt like she was spinning around the room. Her back wasn’t the only thing that was hurting her, her arm was broken in 3 places. But Lily didn’t really care, she was just happy to be alive. She tried to remember the little boy that she had tried to save. She thought that he had died because the hit was so strong. When the nurse came in to see how Lily was doing Lily didn’t want to respond to the nurse when the nurse tried to ask her how many fingers she was holding up, she was asking to nurse to tell her about the baby boy. “Is he okay?†She asked “Don’t worry he’s fine!†the Nurse said “Now can you please tell me how many fingers I’m holding up?†“Is the baby hurt badly?†Asked Lily “Okay, the boy is not hurt badly he has some scratches on his head and a broken arm that’s it.†How many fingers do I have†Asked the nurse for the third time. “Four!†Replied Lily “Thank you!†the nurse said back. The nurse asked Lily how old she was and where her parents are. Lily told the burse that they are in Spain on a vacation and they will be back in 7 weeks. She also told them that she was 19 years old. And lived alone in a huge house. When the nurse took the information and left. Lily tried to get up to go and try to find the little boy, but her back hurt too much to get up. She was so tired so she just fell asleep. But the nurse went to see the little boy and his mom. The nurse found out that the little boy had went out of the living room and got out of his room and somehow ended up in side. His brothers were there and they were inside too, when the baby went outside. They also told the nurse that the baby boys name was Joey. His moms name was Elizabeth. The 2 brother’s names were Brad and Brandon, they were twins and they did not have a dad because he was in prison. The nurse also told the family about, the girl that saved Joey, Lily. The mother wanted to see Lily, but the nurse said that she couldn’t because only family is allowed to see the patients. The doctor gave Joey a couple of bandages and a cast for his left arm, and let him go home. Lily was out of the hospital 8 days later. She go home and there her whole family was there celebrating her arrival. After the party everyone went home and Lily was left alone at her apartment sitting on the couch. She thought about the little boy. She wanted to see him. At the Werner house everyone was alright and it was quite, but all of a sudden they hear a knock on the door. typhoid fever pills
typhoid fever pills?
Hi I started taking typhoid fever pills, which is a series of 4 pills taken every other day with 2 hours of fasting before the pills and 2 hours after. I started my first pill at 9 : 15 on sunday. So today is tuesday at 11: 09 and I realize i havent been fasting which I shoudl have started 4 hours ago. Does anyone with medical expertise, nurse etc know whether is it dangerous to quit the typhoid fever pills in the middle of treatment? and seriously waht are hte odds of getting typhoid fever when in spain and possibly morocco? there cannot be relapse, its a vaccine, i dont have typhoid fever

you should never quit the treatment inbetween before the course is completed, otherwise there will be relapse.
2 :
Are you talking about oral typhoid vaccine, Vivotif? You take one capsule on alternate days for 4 days, one hour before meals. If you have not been fasting, take your meal later. If you have missed a dose, take it the next day and complete 4 doses in the same way. If you do not complete 4 doses, the vaccine will not be effective. I am a pediatrician.

If you stop taking the medicine or if you do not take it as directed, it will not give you the full immunity against typhoid. I do not see where its recommended that someone traveling to Spain get the typhoid vaccine, there isn't a large risk for that area. ( Retired from the Centers for Disease Control )
