is there any height/weight limit to join the military

is there any height/weight limit to join the military?
US army or navy nurse specifically? i ask because i have a friend in Spain who is in the Spanish military and they have height minimums, independent of what you do once in , does America have anything similar?? i want to join once i graduate with my four year degree in nursing (only 2 left), i'm 5'1 100lbs, but i thought that wouldn't be a problem since i want to nurse, not a combat medic. i decided to join once i was a RN because i know that you don't enter basic boot camp (checked many times that's definite) but i was surprised when this guy laughed at me because of my size

I'm pretty sure you can join military service with your height and weight. There are height/weight requirements but I don't think your's fall below the requirement. If you finish your RN degree, you'll be an Officer Nurse. And you're right, you won't need to go to basic training because you can get a direct Commission.

You are fine. i have seen girls who weighed 90 pounds and were less than five feet tall to join. they had a problem carrying their sea bag but they graduated from basic training. I am only enlisted (corpsman) but I know a few new ensigns who were about your weight/height that just got in. Just keep up with your cardio so you can pass your biannual physical readiness test (run/bike, push-ups, sit-ups) and get in touch with a recruiter well ahead graduation. Navy is downsizing and they are getting pickier with who they get in.

You need to make up your mind first then ask for what need to be done and guide line !!!

Listed above are several documents & agencies used in the visa / immigration process. Get a lawyer or get comfortable using the web sites of the desired embassy. The documents presented on your behalf must be verified. Ususally the issuing agency provides some form of autentification (a stamp, watermark). If this is unacceptable, a notorial stamped / signed by a 3rd party can be witness to your statement of fact. These proceedures are required to elliminate fraud. If you would like further assistanc, contact thru my yahoo e-mail link.

What is the problem that you are facing? I saw you answering a question perfectly on the difference between a Passport and a Visa. Now I can see that you have again fallen into the trap of repetitive questions of "Certificate Attestation for...." I was wondering where your past similar questions are where the country names were changing for identical questions. You were once found to be promoting some Certificate Attestation company in the disguise of asking question. Please correct me if I am wrong. You may be violating the Community Guidelines of Y!A. Which is more important

Which is more important?
keeping a spanish 3 class which I could possibly could go to spain (parents haven't decided yet) but I really, really want to go. OR changing to a health occupation class which is a nursing class and is beneficial in learning when I'm going to take a career into the medical field? I am senior this year so there really is no next year for me in highschool, unless I fail to graduate which I don't plan on doing anytime soon. I can't do both because I need .5 of social studies and human relations to graduate. and health occupation is a 2 hour class. while spanish is only 1 hour. and the rest of my classes are 1 hour which is needed (math, physics). and I only have 6 hours of the day. and the humanities honors 1 & 2, I want to keep because I heard it was a lot of fun and that it can prepare you for college.

have fun and take spanish
2 :
Stick with Sapnish it's going to be the most dominate language in the US in 20 years.
3 :
If I were you, I'd go to Spain. International travel is invaluable and looks good on your resume/portfolio.
4 :
while both are important you can always take the nursing class next year. Spanish is an up and coming language and will probably be very important in this country very soon. Spanish 3 is a fundamental class for spanish and I learend more in spanish 3 than i ever have in 4 or 5!. Take the spanish now and the nursing next year.
5 :
why not do both? most schools offer 4 slots for an elective, so just do both..
6 :
health occupation your career is way more important then high skool years
7 :
You can always take a nursing class, traveling to an awesome place is not always available. Go to spain, broaden your horizons. Do it while your young.
8 :
well if you are wanting to be a doctor or nurse why take a spanish class i wouldn't want you looking after me if you took spanish instead of classes that could of helped you out....you can learn spanish on your own time and it would probally be cheaper
9 :
do whatcha wanna do!!!
10 :
Second option.
11 :
i say continue with the foreign language class, they really do help and spain is amazing. besides if you are planning to go into a medical field you'll learn all that stuff in college anyway. and actually people in hospitals ect. love people who can speak a foreign language fluently, b/c people come in who dont speak english all the time (more often than you think) and they need a translator so they can help the person
12 :
Is there any way you could do both? One consideration. A Spanish speaking health professional would have a real leg up in the job market in many areas. So maybe keeping Spanish would be good for your future career. Good luck! Adios. =-)
13 :
why not do both if you can
14 :
nursing
15 :
Keeping the spanish class 3...once a lifetime opportunity. You'll have the rest of your life to finish school!

huh

help with fleas

help with fleas?
someone graciously put a mother and 3 kittens on my porch over the weekend. we live on a large farm so it's not really a big deal except they are infested with fleas. called the vet. she's out of town for 3 weeks visiting her husbands family in spain. the on call vet is for emergencies only. i could give the kittens bathes but that doesn't help the mother. all the flea stuff i have around here and what i have found at the store says not to use on kittens under 12 weeks or nursing mothers. i've tried using a flea comb on them but the mom didn't want too much to do with that. any suggestions??? i know having fleas is very bad for them and i don't want them to get sick! they're just too cute!! any help is greatly appreciated! they are not in the house. i have 3 house cats that are very territorial and would not allow it. and they aren't malnurished. the mother is taking very good care of them. she just doesn't like people all that much. a couple of pets on the head and that's all she'll take.

Youre vet will tell you to use 1/2 the bottle from the store if they are underweight. It is fine and will not harmfull. Next you need to use the flea powder in your carpets and vacuum twice a day for 2 weeks. In order to completely rid your house of fleas, flea medicine must be on your pets for a year or they will come back - which reminds me, my siamese cat is due for his!
2 :
You should use Frontline SPRAY (not the spot-on). The spray is OK after 2 days old, provided that you 'll make sure the mother won't lick them and they won't lick each other or themselves while they are still wet. Don't use too much, 2 pressures of the soray on each kitten is fine, avoid their eyes. Also selamectin (I don't know the brand name in the US, could be Advantage) spot on is OK after 6 weeks, but you must use the correct dosage for their age (15-25 mg ampoules, I think)
3 :
first off phone your local RSPCA or SPCA or whatever type shelter you have that takes in the stray animals and report finding them.. its possible it wasnt their owner who put them there - but an angry neighbour who scooped them and dumped them. honestly the flea comb is the best/safest solution. even if you do it only 5 minutes at a time several times a day. if you have given her bedding - make sure you wash it regularly also. cats who have fleas generally also will have worms - they will need to be dewormed eventually too.. and check their ears if their ears are dirty with black bits its probably Ear Mites - you can buy effective stuff over the counter for these and its safe for kittens ( I think) feed mom cat KITTEN food.
