Which countries offer free healthcare to all of their citizens

Which countries offer free healthcare to all of their citizens?
I keep hearing about this "free health care" that every civilised country in the world, except America, has. Yet, I can't seem to find one country in which doctors, nurses, hospitals, and other medical professionals all work for free. Russia may be the closest example to this. Having grown up in Spain my ENTIRE life, until I came to the USA for college, I know it's far from "free". In Spain my income taxes were TWICE what they are in the USA. I paid an average of 40,000 Euro a year in income taxes. With that amount of money, I could have purchased my own insurance. Instead, my tax Euros had to go to paying for lazy bums to get their health care and for unwed mothers with 5 children to get money to eat. There is no where in the world in which health care is FREE. And I hear democrats over and over and over again referring to the "free" health care of other countries. Why? Do you think these tax dollars come from the sky? Is it because you don't understand that work = money, and that the people paying for your socialist programmes have worked hard for their money? Why can't we get all of the lazy poor people and illegal immigrants get off their duff and get a job? Is it because that wouldn't be PC?

all the socialist countries

You're absolutely right. There is no such thing as free healthcare. The only difference between us and them, is they are taxed up the butt for the "well being" of others. I, personally choose to take care of myself. I pay into my personal healthcare, but if this bill gets passed, I will be paying in to my own, as well as EVERYONE elses. Doesn't seem right to me.
3 :
NONE..... They tax the hell out of them to pay for it....
4 :
There is no country on this planet that offers "free" Heath Care to it's citizens. That's just one of the big lies the left wants you to buy into
5 :
I completely agree with you. My tax dollars are going to have to pay for someones health problems due to their choice to smoke, do drugs, or whatever. There are so many people who won't get off their butts and get a job to pay for their own health. They sit around waiting for handouts from Obama. There is no free health care. Someone has to pay for it..and the government sure isn't going to pay for it. So that is where our tax dollars come in. Americans are very ignorant and they believe the government actually gives a crap about them and their health. No, all the government wants is MORE control over our lives. Our taxes are going to go way up years before we get this "amazing" new health care.
6 :
Obviously there is no such thing as free health care. Even worse I have a feeling that our new "reformed "health care would end up like some of our other systems, for example SSD. Those who honestly need help end up have to fight for years to get it, if they can get it at all, while those whom are just too lazy to work get a handout right away.
7 :
No one said free health care The point is........ do you agree with public education? Why not public healthcare?

Do you think undocumented immigrants take away jobs from Americans

Do you think undocumented immigrants take away jobs from Americans?
I was just listening to Bloomberg Radio here in New Jersey this afternoon and an economist like many others here in the U.S.A say that illegals do only jobs that Americans don't want. In my opinion this is very stupid to say that, or maybe I'm wrong and all Americans are professionals, doctors, lawyers, nurses, etc. Guys, undocumented immigrants are working in construction, plumbing, electricity, and many other jobs done by Americans. There are thousands of Americans and legal residents in the U.S.A that would like to have one of these jobs performed by a undocumented immigrant. They are working in my backyard here in N.J, most likely they are undocumented, they are all hispanics. Just to finish, I'm hispanic (cuban), I got nothing against these people who have come here to better themselves, many of you who criticized these people would have done the same thing they have don,t, come here illegal. Its funny how the law works here, you got about 15 million people unemployed, there is a possibility that we might have a jobless recovery and you still letting people come illegal. When we travel from Cuba to Spain, we were not allow to work in Spain, that made a lot of sense, how the hell you going to let foreigners work in your country when you don,t have jobs for your own, this was in 1980. According to the experts, its going to take a long time before we see unemployment down to 4%, for your information...unemployment here is 16.6 % and higher, in Vegasis probably way over 20%. bye now. meant to say,,,what they have done. carnage...where is that hate coming from? think about what you saying...the usa with like 13 trillion dollars in deficit, do you think they have money to send these people home?....i imagine you were joking right? ...you most be....

Undocumented Americans are the backbone of this country.
2 :
the con of "they only do jobs americans wont" is an old ploy from the Regan days......I could give a rats patooty about mexicans coming here "to better themselves".....they are not deserving of our wealth, homes, or generousity when they come here illegally, have numerous children for the tax payer to support and dont speak a lick of english and FAIL to assimulate to OUR SOCIETY. DEPORT EM---DONT SUPPORT EM//////
3 :
Yes, and they also drain public resources such as public aid, emergency room assistance, free education, etc. They commit crimes and overcrowd jails. They should do hard labor, pay fines, and then be deported.
4 :
Yes i do..I am so tired of the"we just come here because Americans are lazy'..."we come here because Americans wont do these jobs"What jobs are we talking about?Maids?I know a lot of Americans that will do that job.Landscaping?I know a lot of Americans that do that as well. If there is a job that Americans wont do there is a good reason for it.If you want me to pick grapefruit all day for 50 cents a bag ,then no.But what Americans would do if they had to pay a fair wage to a American is they would invent a machine to do it.That machine would need people to build it,run it,repair it.Process and distribute what came out the other side and those are jobs that Americans would do.
5 :
Simple bring 12 MILLION people into this county - did we create 12 million new jobs to support them? NO then who filled those jobs? Take a look at this forum and you will find kids searching for jobs for the summer - for the year...most of the jobs the kids did to start their employment are taken by part of these 12 million.
6 :
illegals do jobs americans will do but for less wages
7 :
Of course. How many School kids do you see working at McDonald's these day? Kids or anyone can't get a fair shake because of them. Wake up people,it's only going to get worse if amnesty goes through!
8 :
That fact has been proven time and time again for at least the past couple of decades. This is no longer a matter for debate, yet apologists for lawbreakers keep bringing it up, as if they were parading a pig wearing lipstick. George Borjas demonstrated about a decade ago that illegal aliens were already taking over $138 Billion a year in wages from US citizens. Repeated studies show Americans laid off and replaced with cheaper illegals paid under the table. Repeated reports and studies show American workers are better workers than illegal aliens! Illegal aliens cost American citizens over one Trillion dollars per year, and their costs have exceeded a Trillion a year since about 2002. Their costs keep escalating. Illegal aliens do take jobs from citizens of the countries they invade. This is true in the US, throughout Europe, Australia, and everywhere else immigration-law violators go. They destroy economies by increasing expenditures of tax dollars, not paying their legally due taxes, funneling money out of the economy (remittances), taking jobs from citizen-taxpayers. Illegal immigration always impoverishes the people of the countries they invade. No exceptions. No excuses. Wipe the blasted lipstick of the bloody pig and show it for what it really is! Pigs!

Short answer to a long question...yes.

Is my short story for the Seventeen short story contest good

Is my short story for the Seventeen short story contest good?
I was at his locker when I told him. “So…you…like me? He mumbled a little, his voice dropping a fraction as he took in the crowd around him. “Wha-I…I’m..do you…? he stuttered as he twisted open his locker and began to shove books and papers in. His body was lean but tall, and I could tell that he couldn’t even fit part of his torso inside. But he was trying to hide from me. I could tell. He doesn’t like you back, Sam. It’s no big deal. No big fat deal. But it was. It was to me. I just wanted to see what he would say. I had to say something. “So… I moved closer to him, and tilted my head to the side, sweeping my dark multicolored hair out of my eyes. At the sound of my voice, he froze, stopping all the movement of his hands. Slowly, he glanced up at me. I lost myself in his eyes. They were the color of coffee, a deep rich color, and I felt myself slowly falling into them, and into their profound temptations. I blinked. When I came to the view of his face again, however, I saw he was still there, in the same position as he was in before, just watching me. I cleared my throat, trying to get over the magical affect he had on me. “So… I said again, this time more firmly. Standing up straight, he clicked his locker shut, and then gradually, he turned to face me, shoving his slim hands into his pocket. I glanced over his body in one quick motion. Thick jet black hair, beautiful face, slender body. Yup. Just as gorgeous as ever. He had changed from his normal blue jeans look to his soccer jersey and shorts, and I couldn’t help but love him. He wasn’t like other boys. He just wasn’t. Coming from Spain only a half a year before, Pedro was the only boy I knew who I had an ounce of respect for. The first time I met him I was running to photo class, because I was fifteen minutes late. It was the grunge period in life, and I was wearing a long faded gray ripped tee with dark navy blue leggings, running through the lengthy hallways of Howard High. It was so cliché, the way we met. He was coming out of the counselor’s office right as I was rounding the corner. I didn’t see the door opening. I just remember the darkness. And then a gorgeous face was hovering over me. It couldn’t have been anything other than an angel. I knew I was dead. I remember groaning, and then it hit me. His smile. His teeth were a bright white and they seemed to glisten against the tan of his skin. And then the gorgeous angel picked me right up in his arms and walked me to the nurse. When she saw him walk in she ran at him at once, and he slid me into the bed in the backroom. And then he left me in the room alone. I could hear him mumbling to himself in the doorway of the nurse’s office, and then, before I knew it, he had come striding back into the room, taking my hand, and saying in a slow thick accent, “I am so very sorry. I remember laughing at him, and then when his look turned puzzled, I mumbled slowly, “It’s ok…you’re new to this country, aren’t you? He nodded his head, and I whispered to him, “call me Sam. And so he did. But now as he stood here in front of me, that strikingly beautiful face and those passionate chocolate eyes staring me down, I couldn’t help but yearn for that first day again, when he held me in his arms and carried me as if I were a feather all the way to the nurse’s office. And how he stayed with me while they nursed me, even when she insisted that he go to class. And the way he held my hand, and whispered Spanish songs into my ear, the words tickling my earlobes and swimming through my ears as if it were a lullaby. “Sam. My name on his tongue broke me from my daydream. Looking up at him once again, I tried to see what was inside of him by looking into his eyes. But all I could see was…Sam, I don’t know what to say. At those words, I slammed my eyelids shut, shaking my head back and forth. They hit me like a rocket, and I felt my body trembling with the blow. “Sam? Opening my eyes, I glimpsed at him. On his face was a look of total pity, and a tiny flare of anger welled up inside me. “Pedro, it’s cool. I get it. Don’t worry about it. And then I twisted on my heel and halfway ran down the hall. I heard him call my name. Sam. Sam. Sam! once, twice, three times. But then I was too far away to try and listen to the words I didn’t want him to say. Hours later I was slumped out on my lumpy bed, strumming my guitar, my baby, thinking of what had happened. My fingers licked the strings sadly, and before I knew it, I was creating a song, something I hadn’t ever been able to do. Not when I was turned down at my seventh grade dance. Not when my best friend moved away. Not even when my parents decided to split. But right now my head was spinning with thoughts of Pedro, and before I knew it, I had a song. My first song. Which I had to play at Showboat on Friday. *** The stage was brighter when you were on it. The lights shine down much brighter then you think, and the heat the heat they were giving off was steaming my hair follicles, and I swear that the reds and purples of my hair would be dripping down my neck even before I finished the song. Taking a seat on the tall stool that stood in front of the mic, I adjusted the guitar strap on my shoulder, and then glanced up. Hundreds of eyes were on me, and their mouths were silent. I could feel the sweat already beginning to bead on my forehead, and my fingers shook a little as they grabbed onto the microphone by the butt. “Hey, I’m Sam. Uhm...this is just a little song I wrote for…someone…that I care about very much. It’s called See Me. And I started. He knows my name And he knows my face But does he know me, does he see what is truly me? Can he see inside all this pain, these lies Does he get that I can’t keep him off my mind? I tell you, baby, but you just don’t understand This feeling inside, no I can’t hide from you Because it’s true That I’m in love with you… I felt the tears starting to well up in my eyes, and I tried tilting my head up to force them back down, but the bright lights hit me full force, causing me to squeeze my eyes shut. My eyes were burning as I tried to hold them down; but they began to tear up once again, and before I knew it, they were running down my face, dripping onto my lips and moistening my tongue. They startled my vocal chords and I fumbled, my voice cracking. I couldn’t take it. I couldn’t keep going. My fingers stopped strumming and I looked out in the crowd through tearful eyes. No friendly face could be found. I let my head hang and the tears drip down my face. I don’t know how long it was. It must not have been long. Merely a few seconds. But I heard my name being called by a voice, and when I opened my eyes, there he was, Pedro, his eyes staring at me right in front of the stage. And before I knew it, he was on the stage, tilting my head up, inches from my face. “Sam, he whispered, his accent rolling my name. “I can see you. And then his beautiful eyes closed and his soft lips touched mine lightly. He tasted like I had always dreamed he had, and I sighed, closing my eyes, and left the rest of the world behind.

Why won't my girlfriend settle/commit with me

Why won't my girlfriend settle/commit with me?
I am 24 and my girlfriend is 21. She is Spanish and I am English I have moved from the UK to Spain to be near to her. We have been dating for 3 years. I have been in Spain for a year now and cannot get her to fully commit to me. I share a flat with 2 French girls and another English guy. I live in the city next to her city which is 30 mins away from her on the train. I recently moved here from her city to try and better learn Spanish. She would find it easier to get a job in my city as she works as a nurse on short contracts as there are more clinics and hospitals here. She does not want to look for a job here she wants to go abroad and work there leaving me behind in Spain (I asked her what she wanted and she said it would be good if i came but she would go anyway without me). She only wants to travel abroad with her friends to work. I asked her to wait 10 months to go abroad as my contract on my flat runs out then and my Spanish will have improved more. She wants to go at the soonest opportunity though. I offered her to come and stay rent free in my flat when her latest work contract finishes and she could get a job working here. Then we could go abroad together after 10 months she could choose where. My mum is also a nurse and said she could get her a job in my city in the UK but my girlfriend does not want to take it. I feel confused as I have moved countries to be with her. She shows signs of commitment, talks about marriage in the future, has mentioned moving in with me when I have more friends here, recently started taking the pill as she wanted unprotected sex. What I really want is to live alone with her in a single bedroom flat at the moment. She does not want this as she wants to be with friends and have space. She thinks she is too young this now for commitment and wants to date till we are in our late 20s early 30s before getting married. I really love her but her not commiting and not leaving the safety nest of her parents house makes things very difficult for the relationship. It makes things difficult to have sex, I often now will have to book hotels for us to have sex in private where I know we will not be disturbed. She lived with me for a week and thought it was great when her parents went on holiday. How can I persuade her to commit as she is sitting on the fence a lot? I agree I would like to wait later for marriage but I would prefer commitment now.

You can't make her commit if she doesn't want to. You may just have to face that facts that she's trying to end this relationship that's least painful for her. Just sit down and talk it out to see if she's ready to part ways with you.
2 :
be a man and marry her already
3 :
you are both young, enjoy your relationship as is. maybe she still has priorities to not commit herself seriously as you want it. but being her girlfriend already is a commitment to you, for the serious part maybe she is not into it cause she still wants to explore and have adventures in life. do your stuff while shes doing hers.
4 :
I'ts really depend on the girl, I think shes not ready for commitment yet, It seems like she want to get away from you. If you really love her, proposed for marriage and see what her reaction is, If she really love you, you will feel it the way she treated you for your 3 years in relationship.
5 :
21 is still too young for her to make commitments with you as she had proposed already to wait until the late of 20's~30s before getting married. and i highly think that she is not yet completely satisfied of being a single on the meantime and still has to be with the companies of friends. you cannot force her to do what she doesn't like to do yet. and if you really love her, you can wait until the time comes for her to decide for a complete commitments with you. why so in a hurry? aside from that, i guess she doesn't want to commit with you as maybe she might fall in love with other guys in the long run, who knows. and perhaps she is not ready to tell her parents yet about you.
6 :
Look all i have to say is don't force or bug you an bout marrying you because all you'll do is drive her away and i know you love her to much to do that. so just be patient and wait one day she will say yes. trust me if you love her, then its worth the wait.
7 :
Just as te_te73 said, you cannot make this girl commit to you. What you really need to do is to find out why she doesn't want to commit. It could be: She believes she is still young and wants to have fun. She wants to "keep her options open". She's afraid of being trapped in a relationship she doesn't want to be in. She may be afraid things (your love for her) will change. She may believe that you might change. or, she may not love you the way you think she does. Or, it could be something else. You really need to find out what her reason is for "having cold feet" and denying you her total love. You may have to change something or enhance your "intimacy skills" in some way (latinas are very "passionate" and have a lot of "energy"). So, find a way to get her to open up and talk to you. You will have to change your approach since your normal approach isn't working, but just be cool and collected, not too demanding or submissive, and chat her up to see what's really going on. Maybe you can try a promise of devotion relationship agreement? It might show her that you're sincere.
8 :
Hey a girl needs to be active, ready to go and be able to explore you know. She wants to leave to wxplore and be active all around the Earth. And you cannot possibly restrain her from her right to breathe. I mean I know that you have been dating for 3 years but there is never ever a reason to take someone's ability to move and restrain it to you. I mean she is still very young curious and active. It is very selfish of you to try tpo restrict her to only one thing -YOU. Do as she says. if you still can't hack it I am sorry for you butapproach her directly and talk about it (no shouting). If you approach someone they will usually be wordless and unprepared to answer your question because it was a realisation to them. Hope your relationship goes well. And it will if you loosen yourself up and also be active and less selfish. Hoped I helped!
9 :
Move home, and move on. Are you telling me that there are no women in England? You had to move to another country to find a girl? Kick her to the curb and get going back home.
