If you could study at any university in the world where would it be

If you could study at any university in the world where would it be?
well i'm doing a one year course in nursing here in ireland before i go into university next september 2010, i'm from ireland and my mother said i can go to any university that i would like abroad if i wish next year! she said she thinks i should study in canada, what do you think? other places i was thinking was australia, scotland, spain, france or any part of america! I can't decide i think i'll research some of the colleges before i make up my mind, because i hear you have to start applying to these universities straight after christmas. I was really considering studying in spain because i go there every year on holiday since i was like 9 years old! and i love it! i have always wanted to live there, but since my mother gave me the option to go anywhere i don't know now what to do?

Oh nice, well when you join university they give you some kind of TOUR in some other countries and i don't know if they do pay you for it, but yes they help you in find a place to live, its not only in canada here in spain if you join university they give you a tour around so you can be more confortable then just this, by living in only one place.. maybe you're gonna be selected like this so... i don't know much but i know what ive told you.. I hope it helped.. it doesn't depends on place just look around and open and see how other people lives this is what really matters now here...

I want to go to Oxford University :)
4 :
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Fine Arts - It's in Greece or The University of Manchester, School of Medicine - England Spain would be amazing! I've only been there once, but it was beautiful!
5 :
Definitely Oxford!

Well I would either choose UK, US or Canada. If it's the UK=Oxford for sure, The US=Harvard or Yale... but they are also very elite... Or Canada it has wonderful universities, they're regulated by the government so money cant buy you a title... not that you would but in general.. And the way of living here is far better than in the US...
7 :
Edinburgh is a great place to live and study and is not too far from home so your folks could come and visit you. I think Canada would be amazing too though.
8 :
Northwestern University in Chicago.
9 :
I would love to study at Tokyo University or Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

The summer I was 11 I spent three weeks at a program for kids at Stanford University, and I knew from my first day there that it was the school I wanted to graduate from one day. It was a high bar to reach, but I worked from that summer forward on being a strong student so I'd be a worthy candidate, and I applied early decision last fall and was accepted in December. It's the only university in the world I have ever wanted to attend. You are incredibly fortunate to have a supportive parent who can enable you to study anywhere. I think your first step would be to research a multitude of universities for the ones that offer the field you wish to study and the atmosphere that suits your personality. Most colleges and universities have web sites that list their admission policies for international students, and many require that you apply in the fall. I applied to Oxford in the UK last year, and it was a very rigorous and time-consuming process that had to be completed by October. Keep in mind that your first year out of the house can be very challenging, and that you may become homesick and want to return to visit your family and friends over the breaks, so consider the time and cost involved in doing so, and ask yourself if you'd be happy living on the other side of the world such in Australia where the time difference would make it difficult to even call / IM your friends. If I was in your situation I would attend a university in Ireland or the UK, and then study abroad your 2nd year or over the summer. I hope to study in Salamanca, Spain one day because it's astonishingly beautiful and has an awesome vibe for young people. My cousin studied there a few years ago and had an amazing experience. My top picks for England would be Oxford and Cambridge, but they are both exceptionally difficult to get into, and you can only apply for one or the other in the same year. There are so many awesome universities just in London alone like UCL, Imperial College, Kings College, all the colleges within the University of Arts, and LSE, and elsewhere in England Royal Holloway and Leeds are amongst the ones that would be my top pick. It all depends on what you wish to study. If you wanted to be a writer, I'd recommend the University of East Anglia; if you wanted to study economics I'd suggest LSE. In Scotland St Andrews would hands-down be my first choice, and in Ireland I'd apply to Trinity. You apply to the majority of universities in the UK on this website, and you can do a course search of all the schools. http://www.ucas.ac.uk/ The US equivalent is Common Application: https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/default.aspx I wish you the best of luck. : ) ~ peace

What photos are your computer desk

What photos are your computer desk?
Okay so it doesn't have to be a computer desk, that's just where I keep the photos which mean the most to be :) I was just wondering out of interest what the most beloved photos you have are and why it's important to you ... Mine include 1. My Papa as a young boy it's a black and white snap which just doesn't give the colors of Italy a chance but the smile on his face as he looks down from a tree branch to my Nonno makes up for it 2. My Mama as a young girl in rural spain, dressed in her best dressed with muddy knees and dipping her feet off the edge of Abuelo's fishing boat which just reminds me how much of a tomboy my put together feminine mother really was 3. My parents' wedding photo is considered plain by any standards in the modern day but Mama's simple white dress is the one I fell in love with as a little girl and I've never seen my Papa stand so strong in a suit which actually fits and doesn't have marinara sauce on it so mixed with the looks on their faces which first taught me what love was, this is one of my favorite photos 4. There is a collage of photos, two side by side - The first is of my oldest brother holding me just hours after I was born, he was just a toddler with bed head, mismatched clothes and a milk moustache but he looks so proud to be a big brother - The second is about four years later when my younger brother was born and is built around the same set up, my brother still hasn't brushed his hair and Papa has obviously tried yet failed to plait my hair so that one if falling out and the other is on top of my head but yet again my big brother looks so protective over both of us and my baby brother is squeezing my finger as I smile at him 5. The first photo of my husband and me back when we were six years old and simply best friends, we're squeezed together onto the tree swing in my back garden talking quietly - It's innocent, simple and almost plain but it just speaks bounds about our relationship 6. A photo of my brothers and I sitting on the couch when I was eight - My left arms in a cast which is already been scribbled on, my older brother is nursing a broken fist and my little brother has a bleeding nose with a tissue bunched up to it all because someone had pushed me off the jungle gym and my ten and four year olds brothers had decided they had to do something ... It reminds me how over protective my family can be 7. My husband and I, aged around twelve lying on my couch fast asleep surrounded by history textbooks - His back is pressed against the arm and I've slipped in between his legs, pressed up against his chest in my sleep as his arms wrap around my waist and it just goes to show how we fell in love long before we admitted it to each other :P 8. My first ever prom when I was fourteen years old, I was so excited that someone had asked me to the dance and spent weeks looking for the perfect dark green dress so that I look extremely happy awkwardly curling my arm around my date's with my husband/best friend at the time stood beside us with his date - The photo has a rip through it, seperating my date and I after a found him kissing another girl after the dance ... My husband found it after we moved in together and sellotaped it back together to show me how jealous he actually looks in the photo because although I knew he didn't like my date, I never knew it was because he wanted to ask me himself 9. My high school graduation photo has all my family in it and that's a heck of a lot of people :) Papa was so proud of his little princess graduating that he flew both families from Italy and Spain to California just so they could see it - I'm standing in the center with both my brothers either side of me, my youngest wearing my graduation cap and my oldest holding my diploma high above my head so I can't reach So that's just some of mine, what are yours?

I have a whole bunch of pictures in a storage chest in my room. But the ones I have on display are mostly of my daughter. I have a collage type thing going on that has 3 frames. Two are just my daughter, the middle one has a picture of my boyfriend and I pre-parenthood, under that is an ultrasound picture, under that is our daughter on her 1st birthday.
2 :
Everyone who represents joy and happiness in my life: portraits of my 2 daughters, picture of our family when we went to Disney World on my eldest's 7th birthday, family picture taken on a studio last father's day, and a picture of my parents, me and my husband, and my 2 other sisters with their spouses all together when we visited out home country.
3 :
well at my work its a group picture of all my 9 nieces and nephews , i am currently on maternity leave so i will be taking a picture of my beautifull little girl when i go back
4 :
my are of my daughter and me and her father. My favorite is a picture of her and daddy together at the park. She is sitting on a large turtle and he is behind her. Ever time I look at that picture it reminds me of all the laughter we shared that day. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words. But I think it worth a lot more in feelings.
5 :
Every picture I have is special and important to me, especially the baby pictures of our little girl. I have a scrapbook for her and most of them are in there. My husband got me a digital frame for Vday and I have tons of there too. The rest are on my computer.
6 :
I don't have any pictures on my computer. I have a external hard drive that I keep all my digital pictures on, but I tend to print out all the pictures on the digital camera once a month and stick them in a photo album.

A movie with two women and a man. Love triangle, WW2, Paris, Spanish civil war. Anyone know the title? Thanks?
The two women were lovers, the man was in love with the blond. The Spanish nurse was killed in Spain's civil war. The blonde, Hilda, was apparently killed for being a nazi sympathizer at the end of the movie in Paris. Anyone know the name of the movie???

I need help, pls! Help me translate the following into spanish. I want to sound like a native speaker

I need help, pls! Help me translate the following into spanish. I want to sound like a native speaker..?
can anybody help me translate the following into french and spanish, please?? I want to sound like a fluent 20 year old guy speaking to his aunt... thank you.. Dear Aunt Cory, How are you and Tita Nanette? I hope you have adjusted right now. Until now it is so painful just to think that Abuelita is gone. Although I was not the favored one, I know she loved me because I felt it... I will never forget what she has done to me and to my family, what she taught us, the good values she instilled in our lives, how caring and loving friend, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother she was. All her good memories will be in our hearts forever... I looked up to her all my life. I will surely miss her. Until now I can believe she is dead, that she cannot be with me, with us anymore. It was really sudden. I thought she was going to reach the age of 100.. but I guess God has other plan. It all happened for a reason. I'm just sad because did not have the chance to be with her for longer time and because I was not able to tell her how much I love her, how much I appreciate her. But I realized we all have to move on because in that way, she will be at peace, she will be happy in heaven.. Now she is together with Abuelito, Tito Joey, Tito Butch and Tito Chichirico.. I believe she has a special place in heaven because she did very well here on earth when she was here. She treated her neighbors fairly. She never lost her faith in God that is why she really has a special part in God's heart.. Let us just hope that Abuelita is watching over us, guiding us and praying for us.. I wrote to you because I want you to know how I feel right now.. And I just want to thank you for giving me hope (for sending me back to school) to have a better future. Right now, I feel so blessed knowing that someday I can have a better life. Thank you again. Please tell Tita Trini that I love her so much. For me, she is still my mother.. I just hope she feels the same way.. Regarding to my schooling next June, I have decided to take up nursing to UERM (it is so far one of the best nursing schools in manila). I realized that my previous course was not really my thing.. For now, I need to have money. I am being practical. If I take up nursing, a lot of job awaits me abroad. I realized that if I really want to study that ''Dream course'', might as well, take it up abroad because it is also my dream to study there. So it is final. I am taking up nursing.. As of now I still find the right school. It is too late to try to take an entrance examination in UST and UP Manila. Usually they are giving the examination on the month of June, July and August. How bad! they are rank one and two in the best nursing schools in the philippines.. Titas, I do not want you to be disappointed and I do not want to waste this great opportunity that you are going to give me.. So I promise that I will do my best and I will make sure that in 4 to 5 years, we will all be together there in Spain.. I am so excited!!
